EuroTrip, Here We Come!

Since me and Philippe have met, we haven’t had any real vacation, especially because all the time it was something more important to do, like the wedding, moving abroad, or schools to finish. But this summer we decided that now it's the time to do something special for us, and call it the honey moon, so we are going to hit the road and go in an Eurotrip.
Being on a student budget, the first step was to make a car upgrade that will answer our vacation requirements. The main features were that the new car should have a reduced fuel consumption and to have more space. A student budget not only means that we are going to have a car which will help us to move from a point to another, but it will also be the shelter where we can sleep, in order to have the best four wheeled adventure.
We have found a car, which is one year younger than the old one: an Opel Zafira from ’99 (for Philippe this car was love at first sight, especially after he saw the commercial made by the Germans that shows all the incorporate features). This is a family “click” car, with 7 seats and really high flexibility, that has been well maintained during its 19 years. For us, Zafira came in the best moment of our life.
Having the car, all we needed to do was to make it more personal and to properly customise it, to suit our trip needs. So we started to paint some plastic parts, to sew new fabrics on the seats and to build a wood platform that will provide the support for the inflatable mattress, in order to have a comfortable sleep, bringing the homely feeling along with us. The package couldn’t be completed without two kick bikes and two backpacks, with which we will share all the nice places in Europe, therefore the only thing that remains is to walk as much as possible, until we make corns in our feet.
So, on our list are Sweden, Denmark, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy and Austria, and then we will go to Romania where we will spend some time with our family and friends.
We hope we will find the time to tell you about our journey and until then we want to show you some pictures from our first Eurotrip day, with the sunset from the South of Sweden and the first camping night.

It has been two weeks now since we started this Eurotrip, but just today we found the time to post this article. Many things had happened so from now until the end of the summer we will share with you our adventures. During this journey we have kept a daily diary thus every aspect is documented and ready to be revealed, but we still need to find the time for it, since our journey is not done yet.
